Webster University may not provide information about educational tax credits or eligibility. We recommend that you obtain a copy of the IRS Publication 970, Tax Benefits of Education, in order to gain an understanding of the available tax benefits that may effectively lower the cost of your higher education. A copy of IRS Publication 970 is available via the IRS Web site, http://www.irs.gov/formspubs/article/0,,id=245502,00.html or by calling 1-800-829-3676. Federal regulations allow higher educational institutions to report either payments received in box 1 or amounts billed in box 2. Webster University reports qualified tuition and fees billed for the spring 2011 through fall 2011 terms in box 2 in compliance with IRS requirements.
